  • Key Stage 2

Key Stage 2 is the legal term for the four years of schooling in maintained schools in England and Wales normally known as Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6, when the pupils are aged between 7 and 11 years.

At this level, pupils are taught by specialist teachers for most of the curriculum. In Year 6, pupils write Cambridge Primary checkpoint. The upper prep has a pattern of study similar to what pupils will experience in the High School.

Class teachers have responsibility for the welfare of each girl and boy. This is immensely important as academic success is strengthened by careful nurturing which embraces the personal development and well-being of an individual child.
